Soccer continues to unite communities across the world. While the recent World Cup showcased this on a global stage, we see the same spirit year after year in a special partnership between The Mission Church Soccer Camp in Issaquah, Washington and the young athletes of ILF FC in Sierra Leone, Africa.

ILF FC provides a year‑round, gospel-centered environment where young players develop their soccer skills, grow in their faith, and serve their community. Through their service, players earn the gear they need, reinforcing ILF’s core mission to engage, equip, empower, and serve.

In 2025, The Mission Church Soccer Camp raised funds to send brand new soccer balls to ILF FC. Campers signed each ball and prayed for the players who would receive them, creating a meaningful connection across nearly 6,000 miles.

When the balls arrived last February, you couldn’t miss the excitement! Children crowded around windows to watch the balls being inflated after their long journey. It was a joy to introduce them, through photos, to the kids who helped equip them to play the game they all love.

During TMC's 2026 soccer camp, we were able to thank the campers in person for their role in sending the soccer balls and share photos of ILF FC enjoying their new equipment. We also invited them to support their friends in Sierra Leone once again—this time by raising $180 for soccer cleats.
