ILF’s holistic vision in ministry has always been focused on equipping local leadership and community participation As a result and in partnership with our Inia outreach team, ILF embarked upon a new project in Southern India to start a diary farm in Kakinada region.
We purchased 5 buffalos and are aiming to add 50 more to the herd by the end of year 2025. This project, with grace of God, will combat poverty by providing sustainable income and food over 350 families.
ILF provided the seed to plant this project. However, we pray that the income generated by the farm will finance the acquisition of additional buffalo in the upcoming years. This is what holistic ministry is all about: putting God’s love into action to help people in need.
Our Goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of November 2023.
One the most important and maybe challenging part of a holistic ministry is to create a sustainable environment.
More than a quarter of the hungry in the world live on the African continent. One fifth of people living in Africa are considered malnourished. Combined with a high rate of illiteracy and unemployment, Africa has the highest rate of poverty worldwide. The same problems are prevalent in many Indian communities. We believe that poverty does not need a handout, rather it cries for EMPOWERMENT.
ILF’s sustainability program aims to EMPOWER the adult members of the community to flourish and become pillars of strength, inspired leaders, and faithful providers through the following programs:
- Adult Vocational and literacy programs
- Community hygiene education
- Sustainable farming programs
