Shauna Myron

Shauna MyronWhen I was a child, I dreamed that one day I would grow up to be a missionary in Africa. As I grew older, I came to terms with the idea that my dream of serving in Africa was just a childhood fantasy. Then quite randomly, in 2016, I was asked to go to Sierra Leone, Africa to help teach a motorcycle repair clinic to pastors in a remote village. The pastors in Sierra Leone ride motorcycles to get from village to village to lead services and spread the gospel. Their motorcycles were literally falling apart! I couldn’t believe it. I have a background in motorcycles, but I never thought it would play a role in ministry. God shows up in marvelous ways, and this was just the start of him revealing his plans for me. I was honored to be a part of that trip to Sierra Leone, and it broke my heart to see how underserved the country was. I wanted to continue to make an impact, some way, some how.

The Revive Africa project was born out of that first trip to Sierra Leone, and so much has been accomplishing since then! God has revealed himself time and again through this project. I’m no longer focused on motorcycle repair clinics in Sierra Leone, but rather, I’m working with our local nurse to educate the community on proper health and nutrition practices in the village. Our community is looking healthier and happier every time we see them – a true testament to our work! I’m so honored to be a part of the Impact A Life team.

Shauna lives in the Seattle area with her husband and two daughters and has been on the board of ILF since 2016.
